Until all the tests are completed, farms under suspicion receive a daily visit from the DEFRA vet.  The vet came round this afternoon and we checked through the animals and looked for any changes.

These calves have had a fairly stressful couple of days due to their ill health and the thorough inspections they have undergone, however their stress levels were raised again today, this time by an intrusive reporter in a low flying helicopter.

Cattle are spooked and distressed by helicopters and today the helicopter flying directly above the farm yard did nothing to help animal welfare - all for the sake of exclusive film footage.Back
