Why is it that no one from DEFRA contacted us to explain that a Temporary Zone was being put around our farm, will they tell us when it's lifted?  The only communication today has been from the DEFRA vet asking a few more questions.

We see on the news that the preliminary tests are negative, but still no official contact with us!  I know everyone is busy, but just two phone calls from DEFRA HQ would have kept us informed of significant information - and I don't think that is too much to expect in the circumstances.

A call last night might have prepared us for the media we would wake up to this morning and more importantly we should be the first to hear any test results from Defra.  Can you imagine if the tests had been positive and we found out from the TV?Back
