Laurence has been combining the last of the maize today so the combine harvester can now be put to bed for four months.  We have hired a couple of muck spreaders which have been busy this week spreading the cattle manure which was mucked out of barns over the last couple of months.

More calves arrived today and as usual they are making quite a noise as they settle into their new home.

More cases of Bluetongue have been confirmed in Essex, so the new PZ which occured last week to the north west of London has merged with Surrey Heath, making one large zone.  Due to a confirmed case in Poole, the whole of Dorset and the New Forest are in a new PZ and the surveillance zone extends to Somerset and Devon.
