After the high winds last night, the skies cleared and we had a frost which has given just a brief glimpse of winter. The vibrant green shoots of the Bluebell plants have been nudging their way skyward for some weeks now and the classic bluebell carpet is thickening beneath the Hazel coppice, however it will be three months before we see any flowers.

I think Dick is relieved that the weather has improved, he is busy fencing in the Deerleap so that the cattle can move onto new ground next week. Every so often Dick must stop fencing and go back to the grain store where he sets the conveyors to shift grain into the overhead bin. The grain is then released from the bin into a waiting lorry which is parked beneath it.
