The maize is in ventilated storage waiting to be dried, the ventilated floor prevents the maize from heating up and turning mouldy. The drier is at a standstill because the five belts which drive the auger broke on Friday morning. Laurence is trying to order replacement belts but this is proving difficult with limited Christmas opening hours. 

The farm is relatively quiet at the moment, Donald and Sam are both feeding and littering up cattle, David is doing some repairs because there is no field work at the moment and our boys are cleaning out the chicken barn and collecting eggs.
