We have received written notification that the cattle recently tested on our farm were negative to FMD antibodies which is the good news we were expecting.

Surveillance testing is now completed and there is no change in the disease situation so the Foot and Mouth Disease Surveillance Zone was lifted yesterday evening, just leaving a FMD Restricted Zone which lies within the Bluetongue Surveillance Zone. 

A short news item mentioned that Windsor Great Park was re-opening to visitors today due to the lifting of the SZ but there was no mention of the ongoing movement restrictions within the FMD Restricted Zone and the continuing animal welfare issues which these cause. Back
