When DEFRA began to give daily updates of Bluetongue disease cases, it was presumed that this was the total of infected animals, because this is how they began recording at the beginning.  However, the NFU have discovered that DEFRA is now recording infected premises, so there could in fact be quite a high number of infected animals. I wonder at what stage this strategy changed and why information such as this is not given to the industry being affected. Back
