Harvest 2015 has begun.
Laurence began combining the Vulkan milling wheat in the Paddock and Middle West.
The trailers are filled with grain and transported back to the yard where a sample is taken to test and record the grain moisture and temperature.
Due to the persistent rain over the weekend the grain was coming off the fields at 21.9% moisture.
In order to maintain quality and safe storage the grain must be at or below 15% moisture content.
As the grain is gradually dried, further samples are taken and tested until the correct moisture level is reached.
