We’ve had a beautiful day and fantastic visit to the farm by 36 children, teachers and parents of Year 2 Oasis Academy Johanna, a primary school in the centre of London.  Whilst being excited about their visit to the countryside, the children were polite and engaging and their time here seemed to fly by.

Tomorrow we look forward to welcoming Year 1 and hope that the weather will also be kind to them.

The countryside has been of great interest to me from an early age. I think even the simplest visits can leave a lasting impression and for some, may help influence life or direct a path that may not have been foreseen.

If I had my own list of natures nearby wonders, I would include the bluebell woods which I walked through this afternoon and which for a month or so are my own oasis of tranquillity and calm.
