Christopher had a very good day at the Surrey County Agricultural Ploughing Match at Loseley Park and was delighted to be awarded the Lord Bennett Memorial Perpetual Challenge Cup for tractor ploughing by a young farmer.

The cup was presented by the Mayor of Guildford Mrs Pat Ellis.

The cup was first presented to a young farmer in 1948; 65 years ago!  In 1951 and 1952 Christopher’s granddad Fred won this very same cup! after that he would have been over the age limit to compete for the cup again.
