Mark Thompson a freelance photographer has been filming at Manor Farm today.  Mark had to rush back to London to edit his footage and compile a background piece for Jeremy Paxman who will be talking about the arrival of spring for tonight's 'Newsnight' on BBC2!

Mark filmed Ed ploughing in the maize stubble and our two newborn Belted Galloway calves; April and Tulip!

The sun warmed the backs of the cattle and glinted off the soil being turned by the plough and there is a real sense here that spring has indeed  arrived, Jeremy, and we will have a good year growing the best of British produce!
