Over the winter months, work tends to have a general routine based around cattle and maintenance of machinery and grain stores. Whether it be mucking out a shed, bagging up nuts, fencing, mixing feed or weighing ‘fat’ cattle, each task tends to rely on another to get the whole job done.
Phoenix had his feet trimmed recently as his toe nails were curling up, causing him to walk rather oddly.

Dave arrived with an all singing all dancing mobile crush. The lifting gear and straps held the bull steady and at times entirely off the ground, so that the work could be undertaken safely and efficiently.

Dave wore a safety apron to protect his body and legs.

The feet are clipped and sanded but this time didn't require polish!

Allowing him a few days to get used to the levelness of his feet in the bull pen, we’ve lost a week of Phoenix bulling the cows; but he’s now happy to be back with the girls!
