The combine harvester, tractors and trailers have struggled on some very wet fields over the past few days so the weather needs to remain fine to help dry the ground.

Our autumn sowing began yesterday with 100 acres of oil seed rape being direct drilled into chalky soil, however work came to an abrupt halt when the tractor crankshaft broke. The tractor was towed back to base today and the mechanics are waiting for the parts to arrive for the repairs to be undertaken.
