One of our boys is doing a weather log over this week for his Geography homework and it is interesting to see how innacurate the forecast has been for our region. Today for instance it was meant to be bright and breezy but we actually started off with a couple of hours of rain instead.
As the rain eased, I was given a lift up to Abinger where our new pedigree Galloways are grazing. I needed some photos for the information board, but with my foot in a cast it's not been that easy lately to get around.

While we were out in the truck, I also put up signs for our farm walk which is to be held on September 26th, starting at West Lane, Wotton at 6.30pm. Signs will be at the end of West Lane for those who don't know the area. Hopefully I will have the cast removed by then!
We are gradually building up our herd of Belted Galloways and will be having more delicious, naturally reared, grass fed beef for sale. Our next available beef will be ready for collection in early December, followed by spring 2009. If you would like to buy a 10kg box of locally produced farm assured beef, please contact me via the contact page.
