Laurence is one of 11 SE Region farmers who send a weekly harvest reort to the NFU Southern Reion.  Only five of the 11 have managed to write their reports this week, however they all have a recurring theme; wet waether and reducing quality of grain.  Here is the report Laurence sent in today. 

'Managed to combine every day last week. Saturday was the best day with moistures at 13.8%. Yields very good but rain on Saturday night stopped us starting until 6pm Sunday. Dryer back in operation full time and even today wheat is still at 18% with cloud covering and little prospect of any sunshine until Wednesday. We seem to be governed by the speed of the drier. Have not started any rape drilling yet, but hope to start tomorrow.'
