We had expected to hear the diagnosis on our calves today, however it transpired over the weekend that for bio security measures the DEFRA vet advised that the samples were not sent off for analysis, but we didn't know this. This of course makes perfect sense whilst we waited to hear the results on FMD. It does mean that we have to take more samples today and then finally tomorrow we will be given the test results. This whole chain of events has caused a delay of treatment which is quite unfortunate.
Harvest is going well today, since 10am another 50 acres has been cut and now the combine has completed the fields at the foot of the North Downs. Continuing on into the night because rain is on it's way.
